    On December 27, 2005, I announced my candidacy to represent the 50th District of California in Congress as a Republican. I have been energized by the support I have received, and I would love to have yours. My campaign is not about politics or personal ambition, it is about you. So please take some time to explore this Web site, and learn more about why I feel so passionate about the future of the 50th District, and how you can get involved in making that future a reality.

    During my athletic career, both in college and in the NFL, I dedicated myself to serving others. Whether it was my teammates or people in the community, the greatest joy for me was to see those around me succeed and fulfill their purpose in life. In the last two years, I had the opportunity to work as an intern in the California and Washington offices of Congressman Duncan Hunter. During that time, not only did my understanding of Congressional responsibility increase, but the fire and passion within me to serve and make a difference grew stronger and stronger. As your Congressman, I will bring that fire and passion with me to Washington , and use it to serve the wonderful people of the 50th District.

    If elected as your representative I can assure you that I will be a positive leader, one who will represent us with character, integrity and passion. I will be a man of unwavering principles, and I will work diligently for the people of the 50th District.

    The 50th District deserves a Congressman that rejuvenates our spirit of moral fiber, integrity, idealism and virtue. I have always been one to do my absolute best, and to be a part of the solution. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to be a part of rebuilding and restoring the trust of the people in our elected officials. I ask you to join me in that fight.
